send-test.email

About

A small tool with one clear purpose.

Why send-test.email exists

Troubleshooting mail should not start with signing up for a complicated service. Sometimes you just need a real message from an external sender and a clear record of what happened. That is why send-test.email exists.

Independent and noncommercial

This is a free, noncommercial technical tool built and maintained by one independent developer. It is intended for system administrators, web developers and anyone setting up their own email. There are no paid plans or required accounts.

Simple and verifiable

One request sends one fixed plain-text message. Reports show the events and server responses actually received, without presenting missing evidence as successful delivery. The technology and its limits are described openly so you can understand exactly what each result confirms.

How It Works

Contact the developer

Found a bug, have an idea or want to ask a question? Write to admin@send-test.email. Include the status and a redacted server response when reporting a problem. Do not send passwords, tokens or private links to someone else’s reports.

Privacy & limits

The recipient address and delivery report are kept for up to 7 days. Anyone with the report link can view it, so share it carefully. A first-party cookie remembers tests in this browser for up to 30 days; clearing it starts a new history. We do not track email opens or reads. Automated verification helps protect the service from abuse.

Test only mailboxes you own or have permission to test. Limits: 3 requests per mailbox per hour, 10 per IP per hour, 30 per domain per hour, and a service-wide daily cap. Failed attempts can count. Opening and reading are not tracked.
